I currently got SG101 but that's all. wondering what books I should buy if any? Ive heard a lot about Saunders? but don't know what I am looking for. need some help to point me in the right direction. please any help is greatly appreciated!
  9. Thank you so much i truly appreciate it. I do understand that this is subjective due to people have certain strengths in certain areas. But w multiple people sharing there ideas i can come up w an assumption on which may be "easiest".
  10. Yes i did use the practice exams for all the tests i have taken. I think they are worth every penny up till now. I scored a 89 on test B and a 78 on test A. feelin confident!
  11. Ok so quick sum up i want to take my next exam in 3 weeks and don't know which exam to choose. I will be taking my health safety exam on Tuesday and want to finish another exam before Christmas. Sooo i was wondering what exam would be easiest. I understand everyone has more skills on certain topics but I would like everyone feedback if possible. I am a paramedic w 6 years of experience in Fire/Rescue and 4 years ER. thank you! Excelsior Exams: 1-10 10 being the hardest :) just like a pain scale! Transition- Passed (7) Health Safety- hopefully pass on Tuesday god willing. (hoping 1) Health Differences- Chronicity- Reproductive Health- Life span 1- life span 2- lifespan3-
  12. Thank you so much for all the words of encouragement, unfortunately I had to reschedule my exam due to some family issues, but I will be taking this exam next week before turkey day. :) I will keep everyone updated. Lunah, thank you for protecting us all! and yes we do have some nice rigs! I love my new engine!
  13. Thank you sooooo much Beeks, makes me feel much more confident. Unfortunately i didn't go buy the recommended books for this class just sticking to sg101, practice exams and quizlet. I will def. study more on the types of communications and I have been ramming the whole Nursing (ADPIE) process for like 2 weeks lol. I think ill do just fine and with some of your tips i think i will walk in a bit more confident. Thank you so much i really appreciate it and if anyone else has any other tips they would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Ok so this is my second exam with excelsior (Health & Safety). I first took on the challenge of Transition to RN (which was pretty easy i think), But for some reason i am extremely nervous for this test. I think its because it seems to easy, i hear lots of people saying not to underestimate this exam. I studied for 2 weeks about 2-3 hours a day using study group 101 and quizlet. So i decided to take the first practice exam which i scored an 80 on, mind you i have never scored over a 66 on the practice exams w excelsior. I feel confident, maybe to confident so i am continuing to go over study group and quizlet a few times and reading through the practice exam again. I plan on taking the practice test B tom. and taking the exam Friday. Sooooo I was wondering if anyone here that has taken this exam can give me some pointers and tips. Like what to focus my study on (Therapeutic comm. i hear is big) do they go into GAS, LAS, vital signs drug calcs? anything is helpful. thank you so much for the help. god bless everyone you can also email me @ [email protected] I'm in Miami,Fl and would like to study with anyone that on the same test as myself.
  15. Hey Hope your exam has gone well if you already took it... I havve been studying for about 3 weeks and bombed the first excelsior practice test with a 65. I was wondering if you can help me on what i should focus on. My email is [email protected]. maybe we can study and exchange some ideas. thanks hope you smoked or smoke that test!
