Ccc nursing program: Fall 2013 City of Chicago

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hey Guys/Girls,

I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2013 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. Please post if you have any info on when acceptance letter/email will be sent. I think this will be helpful for applicants as far as how the acceptance process is coming along as well as support through the waiting period.

Hope to hear from you all soon!

I know they recieved mine because when I replied to all, two emails replied back that two of the people were out of the office at that time and would return later that week. So that is my confirmation.

Even though, I received the "Out of the Office Reply" email when I sent my confirmation. I must admit, I am still nervous:nailbiting:. I sent two more just to make sure they received it before the deadline today at 5pm.

Anyone have any idea of what's next? When do we register for classes? What all else needs to get done with an upcoming deadline etc? Thanks

We should be receiving an email with all of that information. We cant register for classes until our orientation. I am working on my CPR right now. At MCX college they have it the last Saturday of the month. Not sure when the deadline is for us to have our health exam and cpr certification in, so I am getting the CPR certification out of the way.

I did my CPR at CPR Associates on Foster and Harlem for $40

I believe confirmation emails are going out today. Has anyone received their confirmation? I have sent several emails and I have called and left messages. I hope mines has not fallen through the cracks. Im stressing right now!!! :nailbiting: I need a sign.

Congrats guys! I was in your same shoes last year! I'm finishing my first year at Daley. For those wondering what's next, you will have to turn in your paperwork (CPR immunizations background check ect). Your school will email you everything thats required. After that orientation should be in late July or early August. Registration is in mid August. If you work full time, it 's imperative that your employer is flexible with your work schedule. You will have class 2 days a week and a clinical once a week. If you schedule for evening classes your clinical time will be from 3-9 or you could sign up saturday from 7-1. You wont go to your clinical site right away. The first six weeks you will be at your school learning how to do a bed bath, vitals, and medication administration. If you are a working CNA this portion will be easy for you because your already familiar with patient care. Good luck

How did you get this info?

I was reading another post but only Truman is confirming their students.

Specializes in ER.

How has your experience been at Daley College. I'm a student at Truman, but I was accepted into Daley. Truman was my first choice since it was closest to my house, but I'm happy to be into the program at all. Has it been stressful at all? Are you attending night classes. How late does the lecture classes usually start during the week? Which professors do you recommend to sign up for at Daley?

I just got accepted to Daley College. It is an extremely far commute for me. Is there anyone who would like to attend Daley in exchange for Truman or Malcolm X? Please contact me at [email protected] if you're interested. Thank you for your time.
