Does the DMD stand for something and what symptoms are they supposed to treat? I have obviously never heard of them, but I may know them as something with a different name. Maybe if you give a bit more info some one can help!!

Aren't those the anti-spasmodic , strong narcotic, anti-bladder spasm suppositories for Ca of the bladder, testicles, etc, and
    that region of the body?
I'll look it up tomorrow if no one else replies.

Dexamethasone, metacloparamide (SP?) , and one other, used for nausea. We also use DMH, the H is Haldol.

    DMD SUPPOSITORIES FOR NAUSEA
    5 mg dexamethasone
    10 mg metoclopramide
    10 mg diphenhydramine

I haven't seen these either...other than this list of ingredients I just found at an Iowa City hospice site.

We use ABHR suppositories. (Ativan, Haldol, Benadryl, and Reglan) but sometimes get them compounded with the decadron too. The idea behind the decadron being that if there is inflammation in the bowel, the swelling may be impeding the progress of the stool. If you can reduce the swelling even a bit, it may allow better movement of stool.

We need some of these in an auto-inserter as soon as people walk into the ER!!
Would make the nights a lot calmer!

I use the ABHR Supp all the time but those with the Ativan, Decadron and Dramamine sound interesting! I wonder if we could get those from our pharmacia.....

We have a community pharmacist that compounds suppositories of decadron and high dose motrin.
It works like magic on bone pain when all else fails.....

That sounds like an excellent combo. I had just heard of ibuprofen suppositories a couple months ago.

Our pharmacist compounds anything and compounds it to be given by any route, including topical. I am new to hospice and I was blown away by this. How cool.

I am really interested in this compound, is there any way you can get me the mg of the decadron and motrin. I am having some pts c a lot of bone pain right now, that we can hardly control. Our pharmacist will make anything in any form if it is absorbable, I just need to get him the ingredients! Thanks
