    I read tons of posts on here that talk about possible violations of the privacy act and I see it spelled both ways.

    I thought it was HIPAA. I'm just a pre-nursing student so I may be wrong. Figured this was something I should know since I am going to be going into the field.

    I think it stands for Health Information Protection and Accountibility Act... but it might be Portability?
