Anatomy Portion on the HESI

Hey guys! First things first, I just want to say that I am not starting this topic to ask you guys specific questions, because I understand that that violates the rules of the admins. That being said, I do have some questions however as to what your opinions are on the difficulty of the anatomy portion. How did you think you faired compared to when you're studying and comparing to when you were taking the actual test, was it really difficult? Also, I have just recently taken an anatomy class and I was wondering if the questions on the anatomy portion is as specific as the way I've learned anatomy in class. Thanks guys! :)

anatomy is anatomy.....it is pretty clear cut. The femur is the femur the cranial nerves don't change.

Yes they are specific....to anatomy. A review HESI book would help you.

Well what I meant by "specific" is like do we have to know all the different bone names and muscle names etc.

All?? No. A few really truly significant major ones? Most likely. At least that's what the past month of working with my study guides and practice tests leads me to believe.

As Esme12 suggested, looking through a few HESI2 study guides will help you measure the level of difficulty for yourself. We're not being coy -- it's just that what seems difficult to one person may seem easy to another.

Hey, I took the hesi last year on December. Anatomy is not difficult, there are basic questions, there are so basic that sometimes you don't remember because most all the time we pay attention to difficult stuff. Pay I lot attention to digestive system, cardiovascular system, and arteries from all the organs. Also, the urinary system and reproduction system. Know the function of the SI. Remember is not difficult just pay a lot attention what they are asking for.

I worked hard for my A's in Anatomy class, but the first time i took the hesi, i scored a 64! The questions are very precise and over everything...for the anatomy portion, the elsevier book didnt help much. I used my school notes and dedicated hours to studying...the second time i got a 94! :) i recommend the test-guide.com practice tests and the mc graw-hill practice tests (from barnes and noble). my second time around, i got a cummulative score of a 96% :) Practice makes perfect, good luck!!

What do you mean precise? Like the way we've learned anatomy where we have to know every minute detail? That's what I've trying to ask, I know there are 25 questions, I just wanted to know how specific those questions are
