FINALLY got my orders via email yesterday!
So excited/ super nervous to get there.
Anyone else worried about PT at all? Anyone have any insight on when during this 9 weeks we have to be able to pass the PT test? I work out regularly, but running and pushups just don't come naturally to me

Yay orders!! :)
I believe our first PFT is a few days after we get there ... not sure how many opportunities we have to pass, but it sounds like we just need to do it before we leave there. I'm hoping I'll be successful with the first PFT ...

The first PT test is within the 1st week and its just diagnostic so it doesn't count against you if you don't pass. The actual test is towards the end of OBC. If you pass the diagnostic then you dot need to take it again so you're right, Lunah, we better pass the first one!
I leave on Tuesday to go get my apartment. So excited! See you all down there!!

Within the first few days of being there you will have a PT test. It will be for record. If you fail you will be on remedial PT until either they decide to have another one in the middle of your BOLC or until the final PT test, which is a couple days before graduation. And yes, it means you will have PT out at the FOB while everyone else is released for end of duty day. If you guys have been working as hard as you say you have then you'll do fine. Once you get on that track you'll kick into high gear because the thought of being the one that doesn't pass will give you the extra boost you need!!! You guys are going to do great!!!
It also helps being old ... LOL. The number of push-ups I have to do is a little silly.

The first PT test may or may not be for the record. Ours wasn't. May the force be with you.

So we have to report on the 23-march but what time? I'm confused?!?!
Inprocessing is between 0900-1600, I believe. You just have to arrive somewhere in that timeframe.
Hello, future BOLC-ers! Welcome in advance to Fort Sam Houston, an excellent base with a beautiful city right outside her gates. We (the class preceding you) will be completing our final week in the field this week as you are preparing to make your way to San Antonio. I encourage you all to come ready to learn, armed with patience and a willingness to participate, even when the topic matter seems irrelevant to your profession. I also want to remind you that no matter how difficult it seems for you, things are harder for the regular troops, and now matter how much your day sucks, you're getting ready to support them. Make their safety and comfort your mission and you'll do well here. If any of you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a PM. I've been here since January so I have become familiar with the area and some of the base. I understand we may get a chance to meet some of you, so good luck, and perhaps I shall see you in the weeks to come!
Thank you. I am SO EXCITED! I have been bouncing off the walls ever since my orders got here on Wednesday. Hope I get to meet you! I'm the short redhead who made the height requirement by a mere 1" ... LOL
