Anyone graduating w/BSN next year looking into Army?

I'll be graduating next May and going active duty. I know I've met a couple of ppl on here through different posts who are going in, but just wanted to see if there was anyone else. I already turned my application in and will find out late August if I'm good to go :) I also went on the BAMC tour/physical in San Antonio last weekend and it was a great experience! Hope to talk to you all!!

Hi, I graduated 05/2009. Still looking for my first job and been looking since well before graduation. I can't believe the difficulty I've been having. The Army Nurse Corps was always coming and talking to us but I automatically assumed I was too old. I'm 37 and have since found out all branches go up to 42 and sometimes beyond. I've already begun application with the Navy and the Air Force and started looking into the Army this morning. From talking to recruiters and doing research on this board and elsewhere, I'm finding out civilian nurse jobs almost look bad compared to military nurse jobs. So I'm working on all this application process. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. I've got a family too so that makes it even more interesting.

i graduated in May 09. After graduating it has been difficult finding a job, so I have decided to join the army. I just had a baby so I cannot sign paperwork or do any tests until November. I am hoping to start my officer training sometime in January. I am so excited and cannot wait. I have a family and wonder how it will effect them. My husband is going to join the reserves but he will stay in our hometown and not come with the rest of us. Maybe our paths will meet. Good luck.

I am actually looking to go in next year as well. I am due to graduate in June. I am unsure about going in the summer though, lol. It sounds very hot. I do live in Florida which might help and I am very cold natured so I think I might be ok, but I know that is still hot even for me. I am also very out of shape so I am working on that too. But, I am very nervous about it, and excited. I am an extremely shy person which I am hoping the Army will help me overcome. Well I know this post is a bit late, but anyways, I haven't really got too much into it yet and still need to talk to a recruiter. I am feeling everything out right now, keep me posted on any info you think might be helpful if you would. Thanks

Is your husband not coming with you because he is joining the reserves? If that is the case he can stay in the reserves and follow you from assignment to assignment.

He would also be able to change units when you move. In 6 years that I was in the USAR I was in 3 different units, changed each time by choice for career reasons.

Hey there... i'm also in FL.... what city are you in? I am with you on the heat in Texas! I visited there in July and it was hot and dry!!!! From what I hear, they are not having the July OBLC and that August will be the next one.
