Hi All,

I will be going to MEPS on Tuesday and I wanted to get some information about the process after that. My recruiter stated that it might take 6 months to a year to go through the interview and Flight Physical and than to be commissioned.

Has anyone have any more personal information about this process - Thanks!

I have no idea what,"MEPS", is, but I remember when I wanted to join the AF Reserves as a Flight Nurse, it did take about 8 months to actually get my oath in the mail, so I could take it to a recruiter to get sworn in.

Interview with Flight Nurses Squadron, (they also do a credit check on all applicants, as well, as all of the rest of the Commissioning packet, you have the lengthy application to fill out, etc. when your packet is complete, your application is reviewed by the board, and they decide if they want to commission you. NOTHING HAPPENS FAST IN THE GOVERNMENT! The motto is, "hurry up and wait".

Thanks for the response. Found out that I had a eye refraction error of 0.50 so I have to get a medical wavier so more waiting. But was your total wait 8 months?
