What and where do your CNAs document?

We used to have flow sheets/ books that they signed every shift but have gone to caretracker computer documentation.
Another thread about OTC treatments made me think about this....
Do you have your CNAs sign for splints, positioning devices, foley care q shift, routine inct preventative skin care? If so and you are using caretracker...how does this work? Can you add sections for these type of things?

I don't know what caretracker is but we do have a computerized charting system. I am an ER tech and I chart everything I do including splints, vitals, comfort measures, output etc etc. Whatever it is that the CNA is responsible for is what they should be charting on.

At my last facility, we used CareTracker and I miss it . It was so easy to have everything there and no chance of losing documentation. Call whoever is the administrator of the CareTracker system...you can add splints, diabetic foot care, skin care...practically anything at all.

I thought so Capecod...I'm not in that type of position anymore to make the decisions, but if enough of us nurses ask...maybe.
