Omnicare pharmacy says "We never got the faxed orders"

I have noticed lately that when I have re-ordered medications that they never arrive. In the past, it would happen "once in awhile". Now it seems to happen much more frequently. I am wondering if I should just call in every single thing I need to Omnicare Pharmacy. I was wondering if other facilities were having this same problem or if it was just the fax machines at my facility. Should I call Omnicare and insist that they replace all of the fax machines since it doesn't seem to matter which fax machine I use at my facility? It's utterly frustrating to order meds and then they never arrive.:banghead:

Gee, it seems that used to be the same thing they said twenty years ago when we didn't get the meds we ordered either. There was always an awful lot of meds that were "never ordered". Not once, did they ever take responsibility for not providing the meds.

Pharmacy...we didn't get the orders. Lab It's spinning, no order, specimen is hemolyzed unable to draw. Radiology no order, backed up with stats.

The onus as usual is the nurse.

Most of these pharmacies are not due to Obamacare....they are the insurance companies saving money.

Most funny, they said to me "We didn't got your fax". Um, I am holding in my hand your fax confirmation.

Do you have the omnicare software on your computer? Refill from there, you'll get it by the next delivery, if not that one, the following one. It's rare that you'll get your meds if you fax. If you have a scanner, even better! One thing I do is when there is like 6 or 7 pill left, I reorder.

I'm familiar with omnicare....when I fax a med if there's 3 doses left I just fax...if I notice that there is 2 or one dose left, I call them right after I fax and tell them I need this by (whichever that last dose is need)...they tell me they will bring it and do...other times I just fax and write in big letter NEED STaT completely out

I always ordered when I had 8-9 pills in the pack left. They take forever and it's nice to know that it wasn't just our facility that had issues. Seems to me that with this much dis-satisfaction that something would be done by now. I have noticed that since changing to the EMR system that's "sort of" cut back on the meds not showing up. It still happens though. I read earlier about calling them and telling them that you are filling out a Med Error Report and you need their name. Genius! Lol!

If they something to me again as to why they can't deliver the med...I will use that too bc technically...that is a med error if it results to the resident not getting there med on time...I've bent over backwards faxing and calling them saying "the next dies is due at 8pm and etc...

Dose *** correction typos smh
