Clinical Care Supervisor?

Can anyone tell me what this position may entail? I have been a RN for almost 5 years, in a hospital, on an extremely busy med-surg floor.

The local SNF by my house is hiring for a Clinical Care Supervisor, so I applied. I don't see too many postings on this type of position, so I would like to know what it's all about. I do have an interview on Wednesday, so any information would be helpful. Also, any idea on salaries, I live in WV? I've looked online and I've seen anywhere from 60-69,000? Is this somewhat accurate. I don't want to take a pay cut, but I'm afraid the salary may not compare.

I would "assume" it's a fancy title for a unit manager position. In other words, you have direct supervision over all things related to your assigned unit.

As far as pay, I doubt anyone will be able to tell you unless they are in that specific area of the country. All areas pay different. Some areas of the country pay LTC more than hospitals and in my area the hospitals pay more. As a DON in my facility with more than 25 years experience I don't make a whole lot more than $69,000 but another LTC DON here would be appalled with my salary because her area of the country pays so much better (right CCM)?

It will all depend on your facility. I had a similar title years ago. Large building with 6 floors. Each floor had a Clinical Care manager. We had 24 hr responsibility of our floor and at that time wore pagers (see how many years ago it was, lol) There was an ADON and DON above us but we were like mini DONs for our unit. Pay was salaried and I had a good bit of flexability with hours.
