New Grad Salary??

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hello all...I will be graduating in 2015 and Im looking to get some insight as to the starting salaries that new grads are getting. Please post new grad salaries and hospital if you know them...thanks.

You can search this site and find tons of info on new grad salaries, also websites like indeed, and glassdoor can provide new grad salary information. The salaries are often listed a little higher than reality though.

I would not worry too much about this as most hospitals already have a certain salary for all new grad nurses and often will not negotiate.you either take it or leave it.

Im starting out at 21/hr with a $3 shift diff and $3 weekend. Thats the norm for the hospitals in mid Georgia.

In metro atl, I believe it is around 22+

I'm starting at $24.68 with $3.50 night diff, and $3.00 weekend diff.

What hospital in Ga are you working at?

Thanks for your responses!

Not to good between 20-24 depends on hospital and area. I made more as an LPN.

20-24?? Wow...how the heck am I going to pay these darn loans back?? ?

This probably won't help you as I am in Michigan but just to get an idea of ranges around the country I started off at 26.50 with a small shift differential. This was at a small hospital, that seems to be around the basic starting wage here. There are other hospitals not too far from me that start around 29-30 plus shift diff.
