Kennesaw State BSN Fall 2012

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello,

is there anyone out there that has applied for KSU's BSN program for Fall 2012? I know it is really early and the deadline isn't until Jan. 31, 2012, but just wanted to see if anyone will be playing the waiting game with me this early. I actually applied for the Spring 2012, but got wait-listed. I hope I get in, but the reality is that everyone I've heard of that was in my same situation didn't get in. I'll just give KSU one more try.

Hey crjohnson!

I am extremely nervous as well, I am wearing a high waist pencil skirt and a silky blouse with a pair of heels. I hope that is good enough! lol What were you thinking of wearing?

Hey all -

I had my interview today and wanted to put out some info:

-As far as clothes go, dress as if you're going to a job interview. I wore a pencil skirt with a nice shirt, high waisted belt, and cardigan. Everyone else I saw was along the same lines with a nice suit or dress with a jacket or nice cardigan.

-The interviews are held inside the Nursing Advising office - just go in there and check in with whomever is sitting at the desk and then someone will come and call you back.

I interviewed with 3 women. We were in a small office and they had me sit behind the desk (where whomever works there would normally sit) while they sat in front of me and asked questions. The questions on pg. 3 of this discussion are pretty good examples of what I was asked. Specifically, I was asked quesitons like: "When have you had to pay close attention to detail?"; "When's a time when you've had to show compassion to someone who didn't want it?"; "Are you involved in volunteer work?"; "What would you do if you were on your way to a clinical and something happened that was going to seriously delay you?"; "What made you choose nursing?"; etc. They also asked me at the end if I had any quesitons for them - which I was only prepared for because I saw it on this discussion. Overall, it was a great interview - the ladies were very nice and easy to talk to.

On another note - apparently 2 people didn't show up for their interview today - so hopefully that increases the chances for the rest of us to get in :)

Thanks for the info!!! I'm wearing a dress, peep toes, and a cardigan...I hope that's okay. I think as long as you look presentable, it will be fine. I hope it goes well tomorrow. I'm just ready to get this last step of the process over with!

Hi All,

I also had my interview yesterday and I would have to agree with MrsCheddar as far as interview questions go. Not bad at all! I feel confident in my responses but still so nervous about getting accepted :-/

About how many questions did they ask? Were there any that you just had no clue how to answer??

I would say roughly 10ish? And nothing that really came out of left field. I went over the list of questions that was posted on this thread and I feel like I was well prepared.

Okay, great! Thanks :o) Mine is at 3, so I'll be heading to GA shortly!

Good luck!! I'm sure you'll do great!

I just had my interview. I think it went well. They do go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.

Did they tell you when you are going to find out their decisions? Once everyone knows if they got in or not, hope we can start a fb group!

They said 3-4 weeks.

Mine is tomorrow at 11! Did going over the list of questions help?
