I worked at a Kaiser Peds clinic in Denver, CO. back in the 80's I enjoyed working there and way back then they treated their employee's well.

I wouldn't expect your first job to be a bell ringer in this climate, just be greatful you can get a job.

I would suggest, looking at the indeed.com website, and all the rural hospital web sites, as an LPN only the rural hospitals are still using LPN's.

Good luck.

I worked for Kaiser for 11 years in the DC metro area. Kaiser was a great company to work for (although I wasn't a nurse then) and I only left because I relocated to Atl and was a stay at home mom for awhile and then went to nursing school.

Anyway, as a whole, Kaiser requires 2 years of nursing experience before they will hire. My understanding is that that even applies to current employees who become nurses (happened to a coworker of mine in DC).

Hope this helps!

Hi, I am new to Atlanta and a new LPN...got hired today by Kaiser P and am very excited! Sounds like a great place to work.

Congrats and enjoy your time there they are very employee positive

Slickvic, could you give an idea of the salary range Kaiser in Georgia starts a new LPN at? tks!

They started my off around $17.50, with full benefits (med, dental, eye, pd holidays) from day 1. I feel so blessed to be a part of the team now!

Hey slicvic if you dont mind me asking which one did you get hired at west cobb? Because I was looking into that medical center, I see where they have a job opening for peds 40 hrs. and what area do you work in, do you like it so far?

I am not at W. Cobb. I love the company, the training is very intense, but well worth it, and they really take the time to easy you into the system. If you get the chance to work for Kaiser, I say GO for IT!!!

I know this is a late post (as the question was posted awhile back..) but i just had to reply because I love working for Kaiser. (employed with them a little over three years.) I'm not a nurse, will be someday (enrolled for an RN program this fall..) and I hope to return to Kaiser after I get my experience. All I can say is great benefits and great flexibility. I consider myself spoiled. If you get the chance, I say take it.
