Georgia Highlands College Waiting Game!

U.S.A. Georgia

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

I've got my fingers crossed again for all of us. I live about 2 miles from the intersection of Mars Hill and dallas hwy. I'm so excited! Here we go again....The waiting game, continues.:plsebeg:

How great would that be if the three of us, from the same immediate area, got Marietta and could carpool!! We could all pretend that the ride down Dallas Hwy and then on 75S wasn't as crazy as it normally is. It is ridiculous with rush hour traffic - bumper to bumper...but that would give us more time to study together. YEA!!!

FYI: This is the response that I received from the nursing advisor when I asked specifically which books we would really need in the first semester.

"I teach at the second level, so I will be guessing. I know you need your Fundamentals text as well as the Weber assessment video. That and the drug guide and Taber's are the ones you will use most. I suggest that you wait until the Vista page comes up and see what text are cited in the first lectures. Then you will know what you need. It should be online around the 1st of August."

Don't forget about me.....that would be 4 of us:idea: I live in Rockmart but if I could I would take turns carpooling. I would just need to park my car at one of your houses on the days I am not driving.

By the way, I do know a backway to get to windy hill development center. It should save some time.

SOOOO sorry starrdan!! :omy: I was going by the last few posts from people living in the Dallas area. The more the merrier for carpooling. Hopefully we'll all get in to Marietta!! We'll know soon enough......

Does any one know where the interviews will be held. I'm assuming windy will but was wondering if anyone knew for sure? 40 people is a lot. I think we all have a good chance.

i just found this on the highlands nursing website

announcement: july 1, 2009 - we are increasing the size of the class in marietta and students interested in attending that campus and applying for a wellstar scholarship should contact barbara cozby for the application. we will have 40 in nurs 2204 and 40 in nurs 1101.

i guess thats what they mean by different sections. when you search for classes for fall it shows 28 spots for the marietta campus taking 2204.

Hey guys! Could someone tell me exactly where to go to register? I go tomorrow morning. Also, I hand delivered my application today to Carol Westbrooks and she said they are looking to do the interviews the last week of July. The 27th, 28th and 29th.

That's neat that 3 of you all live in the same vicinity. I'm over near Town Center right by 75 if anyone is interested in carpooling. Boy, I sure hope we all get in. If not, those of us that don't can carpool to Rome!

Good luck everyone!!!

I know last year that the interviews were at windy hill development center.

FSU...registration is at the Heritage Hall campus in Rome. When you get to the building, you will see where all the cars park. When you walk up the breezeway, go all the way to the end of the breezeway and at the end on the left there is a door. There should be a sign there that says "Nursing Dept". Go through that door and up the little ramp. There will be a set of double doors that you will have to go through. Once you are through the double doors, go left. You will see a little wooden bench outside of one of those doors. That is the door that you will need to go in to register.

lol, stardan....Like tns said, the more the merrier. If I happen to get in, I would love to be part of the carpooling crew! The funny thing is that my car is kinda of compact(Jeep Liberty) any more than 4 and ya'll might start fighting in the back seat like my kids.:argue::lol_hitti
