Darton College 2014

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I just started my first semester in the Darton Nursing program and was wandering if any former Darton students on this site.

Hey. I took the TEAS and scored a 78 overall. I did take Micro when I was finishing up my Biology degree. It was a pretty straight forward class, but it is very detailed and time consuming. I'm not sure if you would be able to handle it, bc I haven't taken any nursing courses before. So it would be up to you to make that decision. Good luck to you.

Thanks so much! You've helped me make up my mind. I struggle with sciences and math in general so I think I should probably NOT take it with nursing classes. An extra semester for just micro won't kill me.

You're welcome. Follow your first mind and don't overwhelm yourself if you can help it.

Hey I also got accepted.. What of Atlanta are you coming from maybe we cancar pool..

That would be great. I'm coming from Stockbridge!

I'm coming from Marietta do you know when we are suppose to register for classes

I don't have the letter in front of me for the exact dates, but it's near the end of the month. I sent you my number.

Ok thank you....

Hey sent me ur number at [email protected]

Sure check your email.

hello all,

i am a recent grad of darton. I would really ready and understand my post...take it for what it is.

they are very welcoming before you are actually in the program. I started with 120 students...and graduated with 32.

YOU GET 2 CHANCES to pass the math test every semester after fundamentals...if you dont pass it perfectly..you can try a 3rd time but if you dont get a 100, you fail the class. 2 fails equals a fail out of the program.there is no appeals process...they do NOT CARE..if your dad,mom died..you had personal issues they do not CARE. THUS why our class was so small. some simply couldnt take the non supportive environment and simply left.

You can only drop 3 times. you do not get your money back. They lose about half of the class in fundamentals and a big part in med surg 1 and maternal/peds class. I would REALLY look into other programs as well. albany tech has one along with other south georgia universities like Thomas.

keep your options open. eventhough i feel like darton prepped me, i would never recommend it.

Apply anyway. Couple of students in class who got accepted and didn't have ap2 Done
