I was wondering what if any your minor is? I was thinking of gerontology since it seems like a good fit w/ nursing but what I would like to do is something like art history? A minor is not required but it seems like everyone at my school has one. Advice please?@!

... well, I'd like to if he's really cute, but my husband probably wouldn't like it...

That'll get ya a couple of extra years here. :)

... I will probably add a minor since its only 5 or 6 classes extra...

Personally, don't think it's worth it. Very few people / organizations consider minors of much, if any, real-world value.

I minored in Child Development. I did it for personal growth, and I learned a lot.

I'll have a minor in psychology. For our BSN program we already had to have a bunch of psych classes, and to get a minor in psych we only needed 9 more hours of psych classes. So I went ahead and did it and I've always really loved the psych classes anyway so it worked out great.

I want to eventually have two majors - nursing and sports management. It will take a while for both, especially since I'm just going for an ADN now, but I since I'm taking a year now in between Fundamentals and Med/Surg 1, I'll get started on courses for Sports management.

Specializes in ER, Medicine.

I am 3 more classes away from a minor in General Psychology. However, a minor is not required and I don't think I'm really too interested in continuing my minor.
