What snacks do you eat while studying that help you stay focused.
Thanks

I get "Rice Crackers with Nuts" from Costco. It's a mix of various flavors of rice crackers in interesting shapes, wasabi balls, and mixed nuts. I also like Quaker granola, with milk or without.
I remember hearing somewhere that eating an apple will help you stay alert, better than caffeine, but I have no idea when/where I heard that. Has anyone else heard that?

Asherah, where are you getting the Fage yogurt? Someone just told me about it the other day but I haven't seen it in the grocery store. Maybe I need to check next time I'm at Whole Foods. Thanks, Jules
Thanks, Jules
Yeah, I have to make a trip to Whole Foods to pick it up, our more common grocery stores around here don't stock it. Just a heads up though, its a bit more pricey than most yogurts ($1.99), but I feel its well worth it.

raw almonds, cheese & crackers, apples & peanut butter...or just fresh fruit =)
What no shrimpchips? LOL I actually love them, but they are an acquired taste and they probably have too much salt and fat to be a good study snack.

Nah, no shrimpchips...they are delicious but you're probably right! lol
Okay this isn't really a "snack" but when I'm studying sometimes I just want to fall asleep! Has anybody ever tried 5 Hour Energy?

I'm a huuuuuge caffeine addict (I get Starbucks practically every day while I'm in school...a soy upside-down caramel macchiato, yum!) and I know that that much caffeine can't be good for you...and Starbucks is pretty expensive.
yay/nay?

Try Luna Bars, low-fat string cheese, tuna-fish in the pouches, fruit, cashews, beef jerky, V-8, water, and lots and lots of coffee (not all at once, of course)! Tape record your lectures so you can listen to them while you go on an evening walk.

I use to buy sixbucks and then one day I realized, why am I paying this much for coffee. I was looking for 5 hour energy but could only find a knock off called 6 hour power. It worked pretty good.

I was drinking all sorts of energy drinks for the caffeine and since I'm allergic to most artificial sweeteners, I was getting an amazing amount of sugar as well. I finally cut out the middle-man, so to speak. I just started taking caffeine pills when I wanted some caffeine. One pill is about the same amount as a cup of coffee and I can take it with a big glass of water. It's also a heck of a lot cheaper than all those energy drinks.
Peace,

Thank goodness there's someone else out there!!! I thought I was the only one that gets sleepy studying. No one has posted any threads about good ideas to keep you awake and focused. If anyone else has any good ideas, keep them coming!!!
