  1. No, I don't ever. I'd rather see upfront what kind of person/nurse they are than see a facade. Also, nurses specialize and other nurses forget this. They seem to think you know everything about their area. I'm like, hi, our jobs are very different. Still, all fun aside, that's gross. It's understandable not to do everything by the letter, but infection control?!! Hand to blood, puke. I don't even go into a patient's room without gloves. I did that once when I was new and a patient's PICC line was coming out. I instructed the CNA to put pressure on it un... well anyway, long story I got hep C blood on my hand. Thank God I didn't catch it.
  2. I owe 30,000 for my biology degree which I didn't finish and about 50,000 for my nursing degree.
  3. I just bought that one a couple of days ago. I can't wait to wear it to work. I was able to fit everything in there. Does your stethoscope fit in there well?
  4. Sorry to hear that. I recently passed the NCLEX. I have to say what helped me most was what I was taught in nursing school. I really can't say Kaplin helped me a great deal. The best thing about Kaplin is the question trainer can tell you what areas you need to work on. Many people on here say Saunder's is really good. It was too late for me to try it, so I would't know. Try again, I'm sure you'll pass next time.
  5. Thanks, that is bad. One thing we have to worry about now though, is anyone can go on the BON website before you do and find out if you passed or failed. Either way the wait was driving me crazy.
  6. I need one where can I find them. The stethoscope and scissors are pulling my pants down when I am walking. That's why. :trout:
  7. Wow, I thought if you passed the HESI you'd surely pass the NCLEX.
  8. That's a good plan. It was a pain in the butt because most feel they failed after they take it and then you have to keep telling everyone... I don't know my results yet. lol then 5 mins later... No, I still don't know. Then, you know everyone is checking the BON site to see if you passed. :chuckle So, yeah good plan.
  9. All I know is a girl I went to school with passed out once while doing I think a blood draw. She graduated and is now an RN. There are jobs where you don't necessarily have to work around blood.
  10. Guess who is an RN now? Me. Go take that test. You can do it.
  11. I am glad that is over. The worst part is the wait. I am so glad I didn't have wait 6 weeks like they use to.
  12. I could not sleep at all the night b4 the NCLEX.
  13. thanks so much. now, if i could stop peeing and get some sleep.
  14. Sorry to hear that. Glad you passed and are back on track.
  15. Thanks so much. My test isn't until 1230pm. Still I would like to go to sleep yet I am wide awake peeing every 5 mins. I am nervous. I did get quite a bit of sleep earlier though so I should be ok... I hope. I keep wanted to scrouge for any last piece of info I might be forgetting. I keep thinking there is a big section I might of forgot to cover. Pretty scary. I have mixed feelings. Deep down I feel pretty confident, yet I can't keep doubt from creeping up in my mind. Anyway, I'm sure you'll do fine with or without kaplin. Many hospitals will reimbuse you for a review. I was reimburse for kaplin. Check into it. Good luck and thank you. Oh and our school uses ATI too. I was using it until Kaplin started.
