What is the hardest class you've taken so far??

Me, I've only taken 2 classes so far so I can't say much. I want to know what all of you think the worst class is. I've heard alot of nursing students say anatomy and physiology and others say the fundamentals of nursing. What's your pick??

I guess the hardest class is the one that we don't have any aptitude for, or we have very little. Some people are good in sciences, some others in languages or history, etc.

Because I always enjoyed science, CHE, MAT or BIO seemed easy to me. I havent' taken any nursing courses yet. ENG was harder. Or probably not harder, just required more dedication.

I agree with many of the others who said chemistry...... O-chem sucked big time!!

Boy, do I agree with ya there! I hated ALL of my chemistry classes and I had to take three! I figure I am GIVING the damn medicine, NOT manufacturing it, ya know!? :p

chemistry is the hardest. thank goodness it was only one class for our prereqs. The hardest quarter in our nursing sequence is notoriously 4th (out of six) quarter, which I just finished (YEAHHHHH!!!!). Six months to go, and I'm an RN :0)

forgot to mention how I hated chemistry. Barely pulled a b- out of it with a tutor twice a week. I have found that I use only the most rudimentary chemistry in my actual nursing classes and that it was alot of unessesary stress (and tuition $) for nothing. They don't make us take o-chem for our prereqs anymore (hmm, wonder why). I think they should replace chem with pharmacology (would have been a helluva lot more beneficial at this point in my education) :0)

My two cents,

Yeah exactly. Why the heck do I need to know how to synthesize trans-di-methyl-tri-hexyl-1,2hexabutane-3,4-octadionepentaaldehyde???? :roll

I want to go to CRNA school though so unfortunately I had to suffer through it--didn't prevent me from hating it though, and I'm probably gonna end up retaking it for a better grade. Several of my friends who ended up going to med school had to take it twice too.

micro would get my vote.

There was so much material that it almost wasn't worth studying cuz it was like picking a needle in a haystack to guess what was going to be on the test. One 200 student section of the class didn't have a single A.

It still bothers me that clinicals are only pass-fail and your whole grade is based on just 3 written tests.

I would have to agree with anatomy and physiology. I finished out the semester with a C in both, but I worked extremely hard to pass.
