Curious! I'm in Indiana, the one I'm at now starts new grads at $19.50 for base rate, plus shift diff and all that fun stuff. If I'm weekend option, I'll get $30.24 an hour! Of course, since I'm a broke struggling student, any pay sounds great to me! :rotfl:

I believe new grads start at around $19/hour, and then are bumped up to the regular RN pay scale after they finish their orientation (which starts at $19.55). I'm in central AZ.

Shift differential for nocs is 18%, and an additional 5% for weekends.

I'm from the Washington DC metro area and I think the pay is a little higher here, between 20-25$/hr depending on where you work. There are 3 states to choose from with alot of options.

I'm a new grad, and from MN. I get $24.20 base pay

I'm in eastern NC, and I start out at about 18.50/hr. But I will be getting an extra 2.18 for 3p-11p, and an extra 2.70-ish for 11p-7a. Plus weekend dif, which is 2.-ish. Not bad, b/c the cost of living is pretty low here, esp for us (we live away from the bigger town, in a much smaller country town...imagine farm equipment driving down Main Street). Our neighbor's house is up for sale for 80,000. Pretty cheap! -Andrea

I am in SW Va and my hospital starts out at $17.05/hour. $3 more for nights and $3.50 more for weekends.

I am outside of Philadelphia and the hospital I applied at starts GNs at $24.50, once you pass boards you're bumped up to $26.40. $3 more for evenings, $4.50 more for nights. This is the highest paying hospital in the area. I have heard of others starting at $22-24. I applied somewhere else where base pay is $24 and it's $1.50 more for evenings and $2 more for nights.

Southeast Florida, about $20/hour.

15.75 new grads (in my small town)...within a 2 hour radius of my town, it ranges from 18-22/hr day, nights 22-27

In Portland Oregon, new grads at $23.97 an hour.

In southern Iowa all the ads advertise for starting pay to be about $17 -$23 depending on the Unit/specialty you go into.
