:scrying: Well, my daugher's wedding is over, they are on the way to the honeymoon now. SIGH........:confused: now I have lost one of my baby chicks. I'm not sure how to feel now that it's over!

It gets easier as time passes. When they get back from the honeymoon, and life begins to settle down for the happy newlyweds, you may find that you and your daughter will be able to begin a new relationship as women friends...as well as maintaining your mother/daughter bond. :kiss

best wishes and congratulations to them. i had the "empty" feeling when my oldest son moved out. he and is significant other are contemplating marriage too. here is a hug, (((((dianne))))).

I can't relate, but I sure can image. ((((((((Dianne))))) After I got married, my mom was crying all the time and each time we spoke on the phone, we boo-hooed when we had to say goodbye. We still talk on the phone, and have a great relationship. Your relationship might change, but it won't be for worse and you'll always be her mommy! :kiss

NurseDianne, I felt that way when my oldest son went off to college, kind of happy for him and sad for me at the same time..

It's hard to let go of those baby chicks !!:o

:D Thanks for the words of comfort ya'll! I did the worst thing last night! I was getting worried about them on the long drive to the B & B the went to. So, :imbar I called, just to see if they made it. I made the manager promise not to tell them! As it happened, they had just arrived and were standing at the desk. He was so cool about it, "just now" he said in answer to my question. LOL....that was so wrong of me. I mean, I know they are grown. UGH, I've just got to learn. They will only be living 8 miles from me. My daugher is attending the same college as we are, and works at the local bank. I know I'm going to see her. I just don't know what my major malfunction is. How long is it going to take me to deal with this? :confused:

When they return and you see how happy they are starting their new life together, things will get better for you I just know it !!
