Well other students~

I took today off. Probably shouldn't have, but I want to spend some time with my children. It's a clinical day today, so I am allowed to miss a little. Since I am missing today, I can't miss any more though;)

I need to have some time with my babies whom have been "neglected" for a while.

I think I may go to the library (big thing with our family) and take them to lunch.

Oh... by the way... for those of you who read my last post about "How's your Family holding up?" This weekend eased a lot on my mind....the mother in law took the neice to live with her. Good! Now the neice can play games with her and leave us alone! Awful to say, but it's the way I feel!:D

Juile, you DESERVE today off. In fact it may be a little of what you needed not all of it but at LEAST part of it. Now with your niece gone maybe it will help. I know not nice to say but sometimes things like that really do make all the difference in the world. I was surprised myself that I have the day off because my clinical instructor did not realize that today would be a holiday for the organization I am doing clinicals for and getting the day off (I am currently in community clinicals). So I am trying to relax a little bit, spend some time with my daughter, we are also going to the library, it is also a big thing for us and do a some studying. Well enjoy your day off and also to anyone else who have today off. ENJOY the day. It is like 60 degrees where I live HOWEVER, IT is PRETTY windy that is the only downfall.

Hi Guys. Now I dont feel so guilty,I cut class today too!I took my dog to the beach. We have a season pass to the state park because in the summer,if you are a local you cant find a place to park. Anyway,it is such a beautiful day today, there were quite a few of our snowbirds on the beach, and my dog had a great time. So did I.Every now and then, we all need a mental health day.By the way Julie, Im glad to hear things are a little better.

Fully support your taking a day off to spend with your family. I mean, the truth is, nursing school itself doesn't allow much room for family stuff; we have to "steal" time every so often.

Julie, don't feel bad, I hope you had a great DAY!

I would have taken today off too, my kids were off today but I had AP II and we all know how tough that is, otherwise I would have stayed home !

I must be stupid, but why do you guys have classes and clinicals when it's a federal holiday???

I thought that sort of thing died out w/diploma schools. Anyway, I hope you had a good time!!

prmenrs, I go to a 4 year school, have no idea why we don't have Prez Day off, but we did have Martin Luther King Day off.

I don't know why colleges can't observe Prez Day !!!

We get Martin Luther King, Jr. Day off instead of President's Day here. My husband works for a college and he also gets off from work on MLK day, instead of Pres. day.

I hope you had a great day Julie.. On prez day I was off and really enjoyed time with my daughter.. Actually we cleaned house all day to catch up on what I had let slide and then did homework... But was such a nice day.. Glad thing's are starting to look up for ya julie.. ever need someone to yell at just send me a e-mail at [email protected] Glad everyone had a nice day..
