student nurse gifts
- 0Jun 29, '07 by madampomfreyHi, my study buddy and best friend from nursing school is celebrating her birthday in about a week and I am trying to find her a nursing gift. I have thought about nursing jewelry, books, t-shirts, and nursing cap. The thing is almost everything is for nurses and I was hoping to find something that spoke to the stresses and trials of nursing school (since we still have 3 semesters). Does anyone have any ideas or websites? I have already checked allhearts.com, nursesstation.com, and several others with little success so I would love some input if you could give me some. Thanks a bunch!
- 0Jun 29, '07 by skislalomAs a former student nurse...the thing I needed the most was NOT nurse related. I needed time to spoil myself. Some gifts I received as a student nurse that were most enjoyed by me. Gift cards to Bath and Bodyworks, Victoria's Secret, gift certificates for pedicures, massages, and to get my hair done (like really DONE, cut, color, and style). Of course, the Starbucks gift cards came in handy as well...

With all the stresses of school and nursing in particular, I would do something more like a manicure or pedicure gift certificate, or even a massage. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it does manage to get her mind off of the stress of school, at least for 30 minutes!! Even a gift card for a nice dinnner out would be appreciated! Hope this helps. You are sweet to think of her on her special day~
- 0Jul 1, '07 by SillynicunurseMy study buddy and I (we are in our second to last semester YAY!!!) became friends during our first semester of school. It has been our tradition since our birthdays are only 5 days apart that instead of gifts we meet for lunch and then go have pedicures together. During this time we do not talk about anything school related we just relax and enjoy each others company.
