Hello All! I was wondering what are you doing to prepare for the spring semester? What might you do different and what are you looking forward to? Are there any classes you are nervous about? A new year and a new semester sounds exciting! I am in a BSN program and I am starting my clinicals. I am also nervous about taking pharmacology. Hope for the best!

It'll be my first semester! I'm super excited and nervous!

But this will be my first clinical. I am adding in more nclex questions. I think I saw a you tube video where some girl got an A by studying 16 hours for it. She also read before class. Unfortunately I'll be working at a hospital on the weekend plus EMS hours. Hospital experience is good to have. My manager told me she has a job for me when I finish school.

Specializes in psych/dementia.

I will definitely be doing some more NCLEX style questions this semester. I'm still trying to decide whether to buy the Saunders review book or not.

I reorganized my desk, re did all of my flashcards, prepped my schedule for clinicals and lecture, and fixed my backpack. This is my last semester before I sit for the RN NCLEX!! I'm also making some of my lunches ahead of time and freezing them for later use.

Last semester I stopped printing powerpoints and just worked out of the books. I think this semester I will go back to my previous system. I feel I retained more that way.

Good luck to everyone!!

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

I'm going into my preceptorship, so I'm reviewing material for the unit where I'll be precepting (mother/baby). I'm also starting to get my resume together, and get stuff together for studying for the NCLEX.

That is awesome! You are very prepared :D Yea I like the powerpoints but taking my own notes as well. I have to find methods that won't be as time consuming.

Specializes in CVICU.

This is my 2nd semester of a 4 semester ASN program. It revolves around Med/Surg, Pediatrics, and L&D. We all start with MS first, then after 3 clinicals/case studies/tests, half of the class goes to peds and half of the class goes to L&D. We do 3 case studies/tests/clinicals, then switch. Then we have a comprehensive final over everything. I'm not too worried, just anxious to get the ball rolling. Classes start Tuesday. We have already had our orientation.
