Running out of classes to take

I am running out of classes to take. I can't start my nursing classes until January. I need to be Fulltime in order for my financial aid to kick in. Has anyone else run into this situation? What classes did you take? Lisa

I have the same problem. I won't start until January but need to take something this fall.

I decided to take classes I would need if I were to apply for a RN to BSN program. I don't know if I'll ever do it, but it can't hurt to have the classes done.

I am taking statistics, chemistry, sociology and English composition II.

Good luck!

I also have this problem and am doing what she's doing. I only have one class that counts towards my ADN prog which won't start until next fall (04) so i'll spend this semester and next taking BSN pre reqs.

Are you getting an ADN or BSN? If ADN, do you plan on getting your BSN some day? If so, take some classes you'll need for that. Just a thought.

Are you starting an ADN program in January? If so, why not go on and take some BSN reqs so that if you ever want to do a degree completion you'll have them out of the way...

If you're going into a BSN program or already have your BSN pre-reqs, why not just take some fun stuff? Swimming, pottery, etc?

Wish I was in your position! (I've been going to school for 5 years and STILL done done with my BSN pre-reqs UGH!)

I guess BSN pre req's is what I will take. Thanks for the advice

Like the others said, take BSN classes or if you are already going into a BSN program just take some classes for fun! I would love to do that, I would take some more art history classes, pottery, photography, etc

I wanted to take a German language class, but my advisor said that I couldn't.

I had the same problem last semester. I took Phlebotomy and Medical Terminology to help fill my schedule. They won't really help towards a BSN but they did help build my confidence in medicine.

I have taken Med Term, my school does not offer Phlebotomy, a computer class might be fun.

Lisa,

I'm in the same situation as you. I'm taking A & P 2 this semester and I have to think of other classes to take so that I can still receive fa. I was thinking of taking a language, or some psychology couses (I love psych.) or something real easy like aerobics, etc. I'm still waiting on word on if I am accepted into the nursing program.

I took German 1 at a different school, and would like to take German 2, but my advisor says that I can't, so I am not sure what she will sign me up for. Lisa
