Question re: A&P Coloring Book

On the advice of everyone here, I bought the A&P coloring book. Should I wait until classes start in January to start "coloring" or should I use some of my free time after classes end this week? I'm very anxious about getting started, and wondered if this would help me?

Thanks for your input!

I am not a pro or in ap yet but any jump start you can get in my mind would be a good idea

No reason not to get started. Then when you have it in class, it will be for the second time and may make more sense.

I, personally, would wait until class begins to actually start coloring OR make a copy and color that. When you actually start your class, I think that coloring it then will serve a better purpose because you will be thinking of what you are coloring and how it pertains to what your instructor is covering.

Just my .02 cents! Of course, there is no harm in just looking through the book.

I think it depends on your style of learning. I started my A & P coloring book before I started classes. But I know that for my 'style' of learning it would help. For me it's exposure repetition exposure repetition exposure so each time I read or hear something new about the same topic I retain more.

Thank you all for responding. Good idea about making a copy! I'll do that tomorrow, then I can start reviewing and will do it a second time to reinforce what I am learning in class!

We actually used ours in class, the instructor had copies on overhead, so we only colored the things we needed. Some of those pages go into a LOT of detail. LOL Good luck with school.

I bought one before I started, I looked through it a little before classes started then never again. There is sooooo much to memorize I never had time to even use it. I wish I had, it cost me twenty bucks.....I could have bought an extra large bottle of Excedrine......Yeeeks I need it now. Good luck!!! I hope you can get some use out of yours.

I never used mine either! Waste of my money buying those.

I'm with the idea of making a copy, that way you can have the best of both worlds.

I have a scanner, and used to scan the one we were working on, and erase (electronically) the names of the parts on the drawing, and print THAT out, and color accordingly. It helped me learn the A/P -made "A"s in 1 and 2.
