Only taking nursing classes first semester in nursing school

I am starting the nursing program this fall and will have already taken the basic classes like A&P, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Composition, etc. and will be taking three bonafide nursing classes (9 credits).

I was wondering for those that say nursing school is very difficult, are you basing this on a 16-20 credit load or something lighter?

It's different for everyone. Everyone's definition of 'difficult' is different. One person might find 8 credits difficult, while another might have no problems with 16. We have no way of being able to predict if it will be hard for you with just 9 credits, as we do not know you personally, what type of student you are, your ability to multi-task, what other responsibilities you have in your life.

Im taking 14 credits now while in nursing school and its semi- difficult. However, some of my classmates are ONLY taking the nursing class and they are struggling. Most of them are working so that is contributing to the problem. The key is to find the time to study consistently and to not fall behind.

I've taken as many as 18 semester hours at a time (6 classes), and it was far far far easier than the 9 credit hours during nursing school. Those 9 credit hours amounted to around 60 hours per week of work. Nursing school is a whole 'nother beast.
