    Hey!
Welcome to the bb. Now when you say "pointers" are you refering to what type of classes you should take? Not too sure on what you are asking.......As for the state boards NCLEX exams.....its waaaay to early to even think about that! Focus on your classes and learning what you need to become a great nurse. PM me if you like or do a search on the bb.......Lots of tips here!

I agree with HappyStudent...don't worry about the NCLEX yet...you'll have plenty of time to worry about that when the time comes. Best thing you can do is dedicate yourself to your classes & stay organized.

    Good luck & welcome!

Welcome angel52, prepare yourself for a wild and crazy ride, here and in nursing school. This is a great place and you will get some wonderful advice from some of the best nurses in the world. As a fellow student, all I can say is just prepare yourself as much as you can, be organized, study whenever you can, but much sure you take some breaks too. Everybody needs a little downtime, ya know or you will go insane trust me! My summer schedule is killing me! You can do it though! Be strong and don't give up and you will have that degree! Good luck and welcome!

    Hi and welcome.
I am starting the "official" nursing program in the Fall so no constructive advice from me. If anything I would say try to remember that this is a long journey and there will be many trials along the way but the outcome is so worth it!! Good luck to you!!

Hi and welcome angel52 from another newbie!

I just finished the first year of a two year program and took the LPN exam. If all goes right, I'll graduate from the RN program next spring!

Nursing school is tough, but soooooo worth it! I'll be happy to answer any questions about the first year of nursing school if you have any. Good luck!

Welcome to the board Ange52!!! You're going to love it here...you'll recieve great advice, hopefully new friendships and plenty of shoulders to "cyber cry" on and "cyber ears" to listen... The only advice that I can think to give you is to keep things organized and study ahead...I won't know if I"m accepted into my program until sometime in July so I don't have that much experience.

Good luck to you and remember to have some fun! Your classes will be difficult at times...be sure to learn the entry level stuff well, like Anatomy and Physiology, biololgy and chemistry...your classes will build from these basics.

Your state boards are too far away to worry about that now. Remember, one day/one class at a time, and you will be taking that exam before you know it!!! Welcome!
