When I started college I wanted to be a nurse, but for some stupid reason I switch to accounting. I hate accounting and anything remotely related to business. All the classes suck. My accounting class in particular is dreadful. I hate it and never understood it. I made a F on the first test and I'm not confident that I l'll past the second one. I want to drop it because I know I'll be switching back to nursing next semester, but I'm scared that dropping accounting will mess with my financial aid since I will go from a full time to a part time. I don't want to stay in the class and fail because I know I'll need a high GPA to get into nursing school. I'm really confused about what I should do. Can anyone give me some advice?

talk to an academic advisor at your school. this is the kind of stuff they are there to help you with.

You need to speak with an academic advisor as well as the financial aid office at your school. Things like that vary widely school to school and program to program.

I second the above advice of talking to both an academic advisor and the financial aid office before making any decisions. A failing grade can potentially impact your ability to transfer into the nursing program and dropping from full time to part time will definitely impact your financial aid. You need advice from the people at your school that are experts in helping you navigate this situation.

Talk to an advisor at the school. Withdraw from classes if possible (take a W rather than a fail), reassess your classes and start working towards something you really want to do....
