Had a great Christmas Eve with friends. My good friends both work for the fire department; one is a dispatcher and fellow nursing student and her husband a firefighter/paramedic. The whole off duty fire department including the local hazmet team was there. We were prepared for any emergency LOL.

It's a beautiful crisp sunny morning here, but there's no snow on the palm trees. I can deal with that:D Think I'll take a walk on the beach and get my toesies wet before the big family pig out.

An early Christmas morning walk on the beach sounds just sooooo inviting ! The roaring of the waves,,, smell of salt in the air... the early morning solitude with nothing but the sounds of nature all around you.... *sigh*.....

Yes, I'd love to be there.

Sure, come on down to my little beach hideaway. Bring your cheerful self and we'll do some beachcombing. The seashells are especially colorful this time of year... lots of Bahamian conch. The water temp is just so right to make one feel alive. The ocean is a calm clear blue green dotted with little pleasure boats hoping to catch Christmas dinner. You can walk for hours at the tide line saying Merry Christmas and making friends of strangers you meet.

Yes, I would love to spend a Christmas Day just as you described ! Picking up lovely seashells, greeting smiling strangers along the way and wishing them a joyous holiday... and making "sandangels" on the beach ! Halleluliah !

How neat. Must do that someday... Christmas at the beach ! :D

stephany, it's about 35 here, but it feels colder because of the wind chill. my son and i took a walk this morning, but we had to turn around and come back because we were too cold! that fire sounds just about our speed!
