What book are you all using for Peds and Ob/Gyn rotations. We got a new edition this semester called "Maternal Child Nursing Care" by Wong, Perry and Hockenberry. It is the 2nd edition out by Mosby. Just wondering if others have used it and it they liked it?

I haven't had this rotation yet and I am not sure what book/books are required either. I will say I am looking forward to doing this rotation and I was wondering if you might post a few updates as you go along. Just as an FYI for those of us yet to do this rotation?
Thank you

i too look forward to hearing of your rotation experience. all the best to you.

I just finished my mother child rotation. We used that book and I thought it was pretty good. I am getting pretty burnt out on nursing school, so that is as much praise as I can heap on any nursing text.

We used Pilliterri, and it's OK. Easier to read than my Med-Surg book....

My Peds book was Wongs's Essentials of Pediatric nursing by Wong-Hockenberry-Eaton 6th edition.
The OB book was Maternal-Infant nursing care by Dickason-Silverman-Kaplan Third edition
Both published by Mosby.
Some of the authors are the same. I like both books.
