  1. Changing into hospital provided scrubs when you get to work does not magically make you germ-free. Unless you autoclave yourself in the pocess.
  2. I love fiorinal. Two capsules will eliminate my migraine every time. Doesn't make me the least bit loopy.
  3. http://www.eperc.mcw.edu/
  4. What is BSE?
  5. I'm pretty certain a hard reset would allow it to be used. However, any personal or confidential data would be eliminated (along with any other info that wasn't on the unit when it was delivered from the manufacturer)
  6. I was a staight A student. After graduation I practiced 100-200 questions every day for three weeks and would routinely get 70-80 on the review tests. That really concerned me, but I passed with 75 questions in about 40 minutes. Since graduation (two years ago) I have heard the same thing from other people. I didn't take the Kaplan course, but I did sign up for a four day review by my school. I couldn't tolerate the non-stop spewing of facts without drifting off mentally, so I left during the very first break. It just didn't fit how I study and retain knowledge. But that's just me. Good luck!!
  7. I found the PDA version of Taber's to be disappointing. Too bare bones to be of much use
  8. I work in Hospice. The pace is not nearly as hectic as a hospital. I certainly keep busy, but I'm not on my feet all day.
  9. I love kimchi soup. They're sold in most supermarkets. They are packaged in plastic bowls. Just add boiling water. I eat three or four a week. Very spicy! It'll put hair on your chest.
  10. I find it's safer not to mention my beliefs. I haven't been asked to pray. If asked, I would probably encourage the pt or family member to do the honors while I hold the pt's hand.
  11. I am a Hospice nurse and an atheist. I am comfortable not believing in god or heaven. I am not disturbed by the idea that death is the end. But those are my beliefs and they don't enter into my practice as a hospice nurse.
  12. I'm glad to hear that. I hope he's getting better. Here's another link http://www.eperc.mcw.edu/fastFact/ff_81.htm
  13. I do this for my hiccups, as well, and it works every time.
