Hi all, I thought I'd inject some testosterone into the discussion! I'm male, 38 and will be starting my prereqs in a couple of weeks. I'm undergoing a career change and want to become a CRNA. It's going to be a long road to get there, but I hope it will be a wonderful, fulfilling career.

Along the way, I look forward to continued support and encouragement from these boards.

    Thanks!

Hi! My name is Jessica. I'm a wife & mother to two beautiful boys. I started school in Spring '99 & have just completed nearly all of my classroom work & I recently received my acceptance letter to begin clinicals this January! YEAH! I only attend P/T, so I'll complete my R.N. December '04. I just got my grades for last semester & I'm ecstatic!

    Chem. 101 C

    P.E. A

The best part is I'll never ever have to take another Chemistry or Phys. Ed. class as long as I live!!! WOO, HOOO!

Next semester, I'm looking at taking Fund. of Nursing, Nursing of Adults & Children I, Nursing Lab Practicum I, & A & P II. I'm so glad I have found this bbs!

Hi. I'm Cindy. I'm a 38 year old mother of two children (boy and girl). I just finished my pre-reqs (except for Technical Writing which I've been delaying on account of the 25 page paper. LOL) and will be starting clinicals on January 13th. Just call me "Scared to Death!".

    Nice to meet you all.

Hi all, my name is Tess. I'm 27 years old, married for 5 years to my childhood sweetheart (a police officer) and have one daughter 2 1/2 (light of my life). i'm starting my last semester of a 4 semester ADN program in January. i'm so excited and nervous at the same time. i just started a job last july as a nursing tech on the mother/baby unit at our local hospital. they are already saving a position for me for after graduatation. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY JOB!!! i had thought all along that i wanted to work ER (i'm an EMT also) but i had a family tragedy (lost my 21yo only brother this last oct. to a MVA) and decided that's not a dept i can deal with. so i'm happy where i am. i'm looking forward to getting my world back together and getting this last semester over and done with. give me a couple of years to decide if i'm going back to get my BSN. :-) Good luck and best wishes to all my fellow nursing students!!!
