i knew i was destined to be a nurse when ...

my idea of trouble was breaking into my mom's first-aid kit and bandaged up all my dolls. :bby:

I should have known I was destined to be a nurse when dad took my 9 year old self to a revival tent where he hoped to be healed, and I lectured him that maybe god WOULD heal him if he would just take his medication. :clown:

i knew i was destined to be a nurse when...

my mom (a nurse) brought home some medical equipment home..neck brace, tubes, incentive spirometer, wrist restraints, etc and me and my friends would take a fold-out lounge chair and reenact episodes of ER on my back porch..i was probably about 8 or 9..

...I got a first aid kit for Christmas one year-the best present I ever got

and ... When I saw nurses that just didn't have the heart to be a good nurse

Everytime I take my son or Fiance to the hospital and I get a sudden feeling of joy, not because I am there with my family, but because i know what is in my future.

I was a little girl and had the baby dolls that you could "feed" and they would "poop" and "pee" since they had a tube that ran from their mouth to their diaper and I watched entirely too much Rescue 911 to know that I could improvise by taking apart the plastic tubing on my play stethoscope and pretending to "intubate" my babies... What child does this?! :nurse:

I allowed her to train stuff on me, as long as she let me do it to her, and I was 10 then.

I let her start an IV on me BUT only if she thaught me how to stitch as she learned with a pig leg!!!!

there was a candy in Brazil that looked like medicine, and I would eat one when I was sad or sick, and always carried them around at school, would give it to friends when they cried!
