I finally completed the BSN program at the University of South Alabama and we had a great ceremony last weekend. I have been reading post for the last 20 months I rarely reply but thought I would leave everybody my .02 cents worth. First, have fun and enjoy every day I watched many classmates cry and make themselves sick. I tried to just enjoy each day and experience for what it was. Second, its hard if it wasn't anybody could finish nursing school the truth is most of the people who fail or drop out you would not want them caring for your family. Third to make things easy learn and understand a few concept: ABGs how to read and how treat along with causes; electrolytes and what they do if they are if hypo/hyper; EKGs strips and how to react; and that silly hierarchy of Maslows (I think they brought that up in every class LOL).

I will also take this chance to answer some questions I keep seeing. Working is possible and encouraged I worked as tech in a STICU at a level one-trauma center for about the last year and a half. I probably learned more at work than in most classes. You can complete nursing school when you are older and married. I turned 27 a couple of months ago. Again, I enjoyed reading your posts for almost the last two years and wish you guys the best of luck.

P.S. I have already been hired into the ER at a great hospital and people will be throwing money at you once you are done.

:balloons: congratulations! i have gone to the school's nursing web site, were you graduated from, many times.

if i did not have children, i would have moved to go for my bsn instead of the asn first. i do wish you the very best and as always, keep the faith....i want to work er after school also.
