Two terms of A & P, both with 3-hour labs!

Just finished A & P II. These courses were tough!

My program has A & P seperate. First you take Anatomy lecture, then the next semester is Physiology and you can take the Physiology lab at the same time. Once you are finished with those you can take the Cadaver lab, so at minimum it is three semesters, 4 classes.:stone

Anatomy and physiology were seperate courses, one semester each.

    16 weeks? A summer program?
Bleh tried to take a summer physiology class, instructor too hot to concentrate on the text or lecture

Dropped out to ask him out
I hear ya! My cadaver lab professor was like that! I stuck it through though and earned an A. You didn't happen to attend GVSU did you?

2 semesters. I have already taken one and have one to go next spring. I actually loved it! I guess I'm the oddball, huh?
Not at all! I think most of us would agree that we learned a lot and actually enjoyed A&P.

2 semesters. I took the class years ago and dropped it. At that time it was only one semester. I guess they finally realized that there was just too much information to be covered in one semester and broke it down into 2. I can absorb it all now!

we had labs for each class...each semester,
anatomy lecture, anatomy lab, and histology lecture. (all have to be taken together unless u pass physiology lab and not lecture and vise versa. But not same with anantomy all included, fail one fail em all, retake em all)
    Physiology, and physiology lab.
5 classes 2 semsters. But you can take all in one semester, I did but it was hard to keep them straight.

2 semsters worth - but I was actually able to take it in one semester (two intensive 1/2-semester classes - the classes met something like 8 hours/week for a whole semester).

I still have to take 2 semesters also, both with lab. And the school I decided to go to does NOT want me taking it at CCCOnline. Thank goodness I asked them before I spent the $$$ for it!

I took 2 semester as well. Anatomy w/lab first semester and then Physiology w/lab the next semester.

I LOVEd those classes, still to this day Anatomy has been my favorite class The lady who taught it just retired from teaching the med students Gross Anatomy after 19 years so she knew her stuff and she was really tought but my god I learned so much! The guy who taught my Physio class helped write the Marieb textbook.

At my school the ADN students take 1 semester of A&P (no labs) and the BSN/pre-meds/pre-dental/dental hygene all take them seperately (at *my* school the seperate classes go much more in depth is the main difference) and no it is not confusing to take them seperately and you could take both classes in the same semester if you wanted to (so that would be 10 hours total) or take them each in different semesters.

one program i will apply to only requires one semester, but you can take two. the other program requires two. so i might as well take both semesters and have my bases covered.

One class or two just be sure whatever you take your school will accept. Hate to see you take anything and then not have it accepted.

    Good luck!
