I just want some insight on everyone else's experience.
I live in the suburbs of Cleveland, and it takes me about 30-45 minutes to get to my lectures/clinical sights depending on traffic.

10 minute drive to campus. Clinicals were in a simulation lab last semester, so there was no extra drive. Fall semester the hospital I'll be at is about a 15-20 minute drive, but I'm planning on taking the light rail to avoid traffic (there's a stop right in the parking lot of the hospital, and no transfers, so it will be a super easy 25 minutes. And FREE because of my student transit pass). I lucked out living in a pretty central part of town, and it doesn't take me long to get anywhere, really.

School is about 40 minutes away. Clinicals are about 45-50.

I have been reading many of your responses, I find it crazy how far most of you have to commute to get to your classes! Currently for me I am a 15 minute WALK away from my classes. However, since I have yet to started placement, I have no idea how long I will have to commute for that, hopefully it's at the nursing home that is right near my place, which is about a 10 minute walk. It would be perfect.

I drive 75 miles (1 hr 15 min) each way to school, 5 days a week. Clinicals add 25-40 miles one way onto the trip depending on which location I'll be at. They are all, of course, further away for me than school is....
We traded in our minivan last summer in preparations of my driving so far & got a Prius, so gas isn't nearly as bad as it would have been.
