Good day everyone:

How do you find out accredited schools/colleges that teach hemodialysis so that one can become accredited by passing the BONENT -- https://www.bonent.org/ -- for either a technician or nurse? I'm specifically looking for a location in South Central Pennsylvania near Lancaster County, PA.

Thank you.

I wouldn't waste my time or most importantly my money on any so-called accredited school.

In the US, the two big dialysis companies: Davita and Fresenius both provide paid training while you obtain the certification.

Most of these schools are a scam.

In our area, Davita has been pushing to hire only certified hemodialysis technicians. Hence, I wanted to see about training to become certified since they are not doing the training as you shared (in our area).

Oh okay gotcha. Perhaps a community college then?

Thank you for sharing; ours doesn't offer it. I'm not sure exactly how to search for it as the search engines give what appears to be bogus information gathering sites.

I would contact one of the dialysis units directly and ask where their employees are receiving their training... If they only hire employees with certs already then they must be getting it somewhere local...

... or else they only want to hire people with experience. Ask them.
