Hardest class in Nursing school?

I'll start my nursing classes in the fall of 2003...

I just wanted to know for yall which ones were the hardest to deal with... Just to have a heads up!

pathophysiology...definately

I thought Med-Surg was the hardest.

Especially about the kidneys......

That and Pharmacology.....

I think that is different for every person. It depends what your strengths and weaknesses as a student are.

For me, the hardest class was microbiology, only because my schedule last sem was HORRENDOUS and I had absolutely no time to study. I did well, got an A in both the lecture and the lab, but was in a perpetual bad mood and almost dropped it a bunch of times. So while the content didn't make the class difficult, the circumstances under which I took it did.

rebecca, i agree with you. i took micro in the summer of 2001 and it was "difficult" because of the length of time or lack of time along with other factors that took away the studying time for me.

The schedule always looks so much easier on paper, doesn't it?

I'm famous for saying, "I can handle it!", and have a head full of gray hair in about a month.

OMG... And here I was thinking that the pre-req's are going to be a breeze... (except for Chem). I'll have to put A LOT more effort into them...

although some classes were "easier" than others, i did not have any that were a "breeze". it depends on the student and the instruction and their teaching methods. you can do it and all the best to you.

you can have it.

some people look great with gray hair... i, on the other hand, look old.

;) Hello !!;) I haven't had that "really hard" class yet, but it is coming I'm sure !!

Good Luck to you :)

I had my first class this summer and it was more than I bargained for. Pharmacology in 7 weeks!!! It was a nightmare!! I decided to do it to lighten my load this fall and it turned out to be a good thing, I finished with a 96%. I am happy to have behind me what I have been told is one of the hardest classes in the program. :D
