Does anyone watch ER ???

Nursing Students General Students

I never get to watch TV anymore, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I was at my Mom's today and she tapes a lot of shows she likes and then watches several episodes at a time. Today she was catching up on ER (NBC)from this past season and it was a pretty good.

Administration made some pranksters from the ER go to a class, where they sat almost all day with no instruction. During this time, they each bickered with one another and a NURSE named Abby told the doctors that she chose to become a nurse because she likes interacting with the patients and she enjoys her job and she feels that she takes better care of them. (and much more) She also said that she was 2nd in her class at med school and decided to quit because of this.

ANYONE see this??

I was so happy to see this because it displayed nurses in such a positive light and it was not sexual or funny.

I hope that more tv shows follow this example!

I had off today so I took your advice and looked in the guide and and I watched ER on TNT! 2 back to back episodes.

Ok, I could get hooked on this!

By the way, the doctor that is married to Dr. Green (Elizabeth)was on a PBS movie call Moll Flanders and it was rather raunchy and showed her completly naked! I couldn't believe it when I saw her!

I will be caught up in no time!

Presidio Medical is the new one I think......CBS.com shows 5 female Doctors and 1 male as the lead on this show.......Where the hell are the nurses? Oh bet it will be mostly male nurses? LOL

Count me among the ER lovers...though I think I prefer Carter over Luka. Anyone been watching the new CBS (I think) show Houston Medical?

I'm a huge ER fan---all the way from the first season. I really like all of the characters, but so far one of my favorites has been Lucy. I was really sad when she died. The sexual tension between her and Dr. Carter always made for a good episode.

kardut---I have been watching Houston Medical. I have really enjoyed it.

Specializes in LTC, CPR instructor, First aid instructor..

I think I've watched every episode of ER since it was first aired, and I like it so much, I watch certain reruns too. I also like any medically oriented program that I'm able to watch. To name a few; Strong Medicine on Lifetime,Code Blue on TLC, the medical stuff on Discovery,Angels of Mercy,Doctors Diaries, etc.A bunch of new ones are due to air in the fall, and I'll be watching as many as possible.I'm really hooked! My favorite male doctor is John Carter,my favorite nurse definitely is Abby, and my two least favorites are

The chief administrator, whose name I don't remember, and Carrie.

Cheers!

Strong Medicine is a wonderful show!!! Saw on CBS the other night also a show about the Arkansas Childrens Hospital that is suppossed to be coming....waiting to see what it is.......
