Hello... I'm a cell biologist that is looking to change careers and considering nursing. I've been checking some websites, but having some difficulty figuring things out how my current degree relates to what I will need to cover in school.

I would look for websites for your local schools or actually go there and find out what pre-reqs are required for the program. Then find out what classes will transfer from your degree.
Most nursing schools require anatomy & physiology (either taken separately or as I & II), microbiology, chemistry, lots of the basics (history, english, etc..). Every school is different with requirements.
Good luck!

I am also a biologist (currently not employed) boing back to be a nurse. I am getting an ASN degree at a local community college, feels kind of weird going back for an associate degree when I already have a bachelor's in biology!

My sister in law just got a 4 yr degree in Marine biology. She is going back to school to a ADN nursing program. Not many opportunities for marine biologist in Ohio.

Biologist here also!! I'm finishing up with my BSN in Sept. I'm attending an accelerated one year program for people who already have bachelor's degrees. My program required Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Ethics, Nutrition, Statistics, Psychology, and some other courses like English. You probably have most of your pre-reqs already.
