APA Format - Any Good Software Out There?

I've heard that there is fancy software out there nowadays to help format your paper and/or references in APA format.

Yes I'm lazy but I'm almost finished with my BSN program and I've been trucking along doing it manually all these semesters and frankly I'm losing steam at this point.

I've never had problems grade-wise with having my work cited properly so I know how to do it, it's just that it gets so tedious and time-consuming.

In addition, I've had several group members over the semesters that have been not-so-skilled in the way of APA format and it would be nice to have a more efficient way to correct and reformat their work before final submission to the instructors.

Can anyone recommend any good software or other web tools that will make APA formatting a lot (or even a little) easier?

I used to have a website i bookmarked for APA format that was just as good as software, but it's free. I'll see if i can find it.

I used Perrla.com it was software I downloaded and used for all my papers.... good luck

My school provides me with access to RefWorks.com. I've only used it once and it was so-so.

I use the Perrla.com download also. I've loved it! Especially the not having to create my reference page myself...lol. Would highly recommend it. But even if you use a program for writing your papers, you will still want to proof them very well because sometimes the programs aren't perfect either. Good luck!!

If you go to a site called knightcite.com and enter all your paper info, it will format your citations for you to cut and paste to your paper. I use it all the time cause I'm a dork about stuff like this. It also lets you choose between APA and MLA formats, in case you have to use one or the other. Good luck, hope it helps a little.

I found one via another RN-BSN student, a program called PERRLA. I think the site is perrla.com. Anyway, it is pretty good, and costs under thirty dollars. It downloads really fast from the internet. I have found from time to time an instructor that says I have a period outside when it needs to be inside, or something small like that, but overall the program has been a big help to me. Best wishes!
