Hi Guys!! Time for me to check in with my new extended family!!!! That's what I think of each and every one of you. You are truly like family to me, and your love and support has been invaluable to me. I'd hate to think how I would have been like thru this whole ordeal without you folks. You all have kept me going and kept me writing back. Maybe the world isn't as cold as I once thought it was, because I feel such warmth and caring here, and it is a great comfort to me.:) Today my mom was discharged from the hospital!!!!:D Praise be to God!:roll There will be some follow-up from Mercy Home Care for physical therapy at the house. Mom's legs are real sore and have a lot of fluid in them. Also her feet have a lot of fluid-filled blisters on them that have to be watched and covered. But her endurance and her walking are improving day by day.;) I can't tell you how thankful I am. Keep writing back and REMEMBER I LOVE YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Peace and Love, Warrior Woman.:kiss

Horrah! Sounds like things are over the hump. RE swollen legs: seen that sometimes occur if not enough protein in diet if not due to CHF/PVD.

Hope your Mercy Nurses are as good as the Mercy agency in PA I'm associated with.

theresa, your post says how happy you are and i am so glad your mom is doing better than she was. god is able!

That is some really great news! I believe with your mother's strong will, that she will be up and around in no time. You stated on an earlier post that she was very independent before this happened, so I think she will want to get better. Just make sure she does what the therapist tells her to, and keep those bandages changed as instructed. Hopefully that edema will go away soon, with some movement of her limbs and the right physical therapy. "It is no secret..., what God can do...";) We'll continue to keep you in our prayers. Take care and be cool. PEACE. Darby

Great news indeed, Warrior Woman! So glad to hear you sound so excited, and even happier that your mother has been discharged from the hospital to home with her spirit still intact. She'll desire to get better...don't you fret! Give her all the loving you can, and let God and her do the rest. :kiss
