I think I finally found the school I want to go to. It is associated with the hospital that I want to work at too!!! I am so excited and so nervous... The admissions process seems to be spelled out pretty well but I am sensing a challenge (get referals, write an essay based on the school's philosophy, have an interview). And then I stumble across the grading scale A=100-92 B=91-84 C=83-76
Talk about elite... are there other schools with a grading scale like this? I don't know if it's normal for nursing schools but I was a little intimidated when I saw that. I of course want to get straight A's no matter the scale...
It is one of the most affordable schools I have looked at too, which I like very much. It seems like a University but is priced better than the nearest Comunity college. They also offer to pay the tuition in full if you sign an agreement to work for them for two years after graduation. And all of my credits will be tranferable to their BSN or MSN programs which I will take down the raod, should everything work out here.
Ohhhh I am so excited and I want to do everything I can to get in to this school.
Has anyone else ever felt this way? Do you all have any advice?
I'm going crazy with anticipation right now...

Sounds like a great program. You should also check out their first time NCLEX results. The grading scale at my university is the same for nursing as yours. However for pre-reqs, it was 100-90 an A and so forth. Congrats on finding a program that works for you. You will do great.

I think everyone starts out in nursing school wanting straight A's...just remember....it's not the end of the world if you get a B or a C. At my school A's are 94-100, B's are 86-93 and C's are 78 to 85. Anything below 78 is considered failure.
I had a 92 average....ended up with a B+....initially it was disappointing, but now I am just happy to be going on to the next semester. Quite a bit of my fellow students never made it past the first semester. Best of luck to you!!!!!
