Wow, some nursing homes...

I put in my two weeks notice at a nursing home three weeks ago, and finished my last day a week ago. Yesterday, the ADON at the nursing home called me asking if I wanted to work! She had no idea that I had left (or was planning on it).

Now that's organization! :D

One time I got my "we're hiring you" letter a month after I'd quit... One hand doesn't talk to the other, sometimes, I think.

One place that I worked at 5 years ago still sends me the news letter... I guess that they don't update files often either... ;)

LOL....I'm prn and they never update our nursing call list. I've called many a persons that have been fired or quit and asked them to come in. Revolving door sometimes. yeah...poor comunication.

I used to be a tech at 2 nursing homes...one still sends me their newsletter also (only they add on a request for donations) and the other also called me to work long after I'd quit. I'm glad hospitals are more organized =\

I did a few shifts through an agency, got a full time and told them I wasn't available anymore. Years later, I would still get a periodic message from them asking if I was available to work the next day at this or that facility. The thing is that my file with them hadn't been updated in years... no new TB tests, no verification of renewed licensure, etc. Not to mention that some of the shifts they mentioned were in roles I was by no means competent to fill - as was indicated on the form I'd filled out with my recruiter way back when.
