Hey all, I am trying to collect data about all of the various types of licenses and certificates that nurses hold from all different types of fields. Below is a list of what I can come up with off the top of my head, can you add any more?

  • CPR/BLS

  • ACLS

  • PALS

  • RN

  • CCRN

  • CCRN-E

  • NRP

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

RN-BC

TNCC

CEN

CPN

Look at the speciality boards. I think you will find it is more complicated than a simple list. Many specialties offer numerous credentials & certifications.

There are very few options for licenses- LPN/LVN, RN, NP.

Certifications can be varied by specialty and are optional; here's a link to a few with a heck of a lot more out there that can be found by visiting specialty organization web pages:

CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS are all life-support related. While some positions require them (can't think of any that don't require CPR/BLS minimum), advanced certifications such as ACLS and PALS are only required for certain units.

Curious as to the purpose of this post.

There is also RNC

Specializes in retired LTC.

Kind of sounds like a homework question to me.
