Totally clueless when it comes to nursing! Can anyone break the steps down for me?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I just finished my first semester at Medgar Evers College. My grades are not that good and I am taking pre reqs for the lpn program. All I know is that there are certain pre reqs you need to take before you can get into the program. I have no clue and what tests I have to take in the future. It is so hard to get information! Anyone know how to get licensed? And the education process?

Sounds like the best route for you would be to speak with an academic advisor at your school. Each school is going to have differing requirements, and there are several different nursing program entrance exams that they may choose to use. Go directly to the source for the most accurate and up to date information.

They are very rude and try their best to get me out of their office as soon as possible! But still, I will try to stay there until I get all my questions answered. Thanks!

Have you looked on their website? I very quickly found answers to your questions there.

For instance:

Medgar Evers College | Certificate in Practical Nursing (CPN)

The website completely explains the 3 nursing programs and the progression from one to the next. One of your most valuable skills as a nursing student will be learning to effectively research questions and issues. Now is not too early to start.
