The real lessons I've learned in life...

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

I've learned that waiting till the last minute to study for finals... really is STUPID

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just real a$$holes.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more f**ked up than you think.

I've learned that you can keep puking long after you think you're finished.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones who do.

I've learned that we don't have to ditch bad friends, because in the long run their dysfunction makes us feel better about ourselves.

I've learned that no matter how parents try to protect their children, they will eventually get arrested and end up in the local paper.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important annoying ones just never go away.

I've learned to say, "F**k'em if they can't take a joke" in 6 languages.

Some days are just a waste of makeup...

Sometimes love *isn't* enough.

Good point, kara

Kara, you are so right.

Surrender to the fact that life, unfortunately is NOT fair.

When overwhelmed, repeat to yourself: Life is NOT an emergency.

When things get hot, experiment with your back burner.

Don't allow yourself to be fooled by your low moods.

When someone really gets on your last nerve, wait a minute to respond ...first take a moment and try to imagine them as tiny infants, and as 100 year olds.

Make peace with imperfection.

Relax. Remember that even when you die, your 'In' basket won't be empty.

Remember....100 years from now...all new people.

It's a good night when nobody dies.

All bleeding stops eventually.

Just keep repeating to yourself, there is a day shift and they will arrive. There is a day shift and they will arrive. There is a day shift and they will arrive.

These are great, guys...another super thread, Betts!

I have printed them out and all these neatsayings now occupy a grand place...the front of my refrigerator! :)

My whole family is enjoying them...I cut them up in small snippets and scattered them about...it's fun to see my son hunting around for ones he may have missed! LOL!:)
