I spoke with a Rue rep today for over 1.5 hours, and was very interested in what she had to say. Does anyone have any neg or pos experience with this or any accelerated program? My main concern is that I want to cont. my education and possibly be a NP or CRNA and that all this work will not be recognized by another college. The rep stated it would and that there was actually a person who graduated her program to transfer credits to Harvard. I also know that many people will tell you anything to get your money. Thanks.

Rue isn't a college...it is a publishing company that helps you get through Excelsior's program. Make sure you talk to EXCELSIOR before you do anything. Also...Rue is very expensive...often you can do better getting books from Excelsior, half.com, libraries, eBay, etc.

Thanks I appreciate your input. I will call excelsior tomorrow.

There are a number of older threads here about people's experiences with and opinions of Rue. It would be well worth your time to do a search and review them before you make any kind of commitment to Rue.

Cotjockey is correct -- Rue is not a degree-granting institution by any means, simply a publishing company that wants to sell you their study materials to help you complete the Excelsior program.

I completed Excelsior College recently without any publishing companies. Some people may feel more "secure" by paying out the rear to be in a contract with these publishing companies (which Excelsior does not endorse) but really, you can do just fine without Rue.

Thank you MMM. I appreciate it. I found an older thread and was able to read through it. I found the Excelsior website and was able to get some more info off it. I am so glad that I did not hesitate to post a question, and be out all that money. Thank you allnurses! and thank you to all who have replied. I can not properly express my graditude to you.
